Whether you are a developer, private homeowner or a building contractor an integral component in all successful building is efficient pre-contract evaluation. At Barker Construction Consultants our team have the experience and expertise to help clients explore their development options including feasibility studies and cost estimates.
Despite exaggerated regarding consultant fees it may surprise you how affordable reliable cost advice is. The cost depends on two key elements: the quantity of drawings and the complexity of the design/project. The earlier we are appointed the better and more effective we can be as we can advise on the cost implications of decisions at every stage.
A Budget Cost can be very broad or very detailed depending on the stage in the process and the level of detail you have. The product will be a detailed spreadsheet; an elemental breakdown of the main sections of the project, such as foundations, steelwork, joinery etc. This is prepared and submitted and then a Value Engineering exercise can take place to identify areas where savings can be made if appropriate.
We can identify the elements with the highest risk within the project and put forward solutions to mitigate the risks. As the project progresses we can gradually remove the main areas of risk by innovative and specialised cost modelling and careful contract management.
